The following is a Facebook status posted by a young Calgarian woman and the ensuing response from a few of her peers. It is the perfect example of how people need to take responsibility of what they post on the internet, and also need to be conscious of how using the wrong language can have detrimental effects on society. It is unfortunate that this person took the discussion as a personal attack, but it exemplifies why it is important to be educated and aware of sexual assault, gender-based violence, rape, and rape-culture within our society.
